This will be a Co-ed, Switch Partner, Round Robin Tournament, open to all levels. The Round Robin play will establish seeding for a subsequent single elimination tournament. Register as an individual. We will close registration after 32 players & then establish a standby waitlist in case of no-shows.
Play will proceed as follows:
Please arrive on Saturday by 8:30 am for player check-in & to sign liability waivers.
We will start with four pools of 8 players each, randomly assigned. We will, however, make an attempt to distribute the top ranked players into different pools.
During pool play, every player will play with & against each other player in the pool. Everyone will therefore play a total of 7 games during pool play. Everyone will referee their own games. USPPA rules will apply. Please keep everything friendly, casual, and consensual. Any rules disputes or questions can be raised with the tournament director.
All pool games will be to 11, win by one. Scores will be recorded & reported to the scoring table at the end of each game.
At the conclusion of round robin play, we will determine the top eight players, regardless of gender, based on total wins, followed by total points as a tiebreaker. These eight will advance to a final single elimination tournament, pairing the top player in one pool with the second top player in another pool.
We will also determine the top four men & four women players. Gift certificates will be awarded to the top four men & to the top four women.
The top eight players will advance to final single elimination championship tournament. Tournament games will be to 11, win by two. The final champion teams will be awarded trophies.
On Saturday afternoon, between the round-robin & final elimination tourneys, we will have a social barbecue & potluck provided by the Shelter Cove Pickleball Club, with accompanying live music. If anyone would like to contribute additional food please feel free!

There will also be a Men's & Women's Doubles Tournament on Sunday. Register as individuals & indicate who your teammate will be. If you need a teammate, contact info@sheltercovepickleball.com and we will try to match you up. To try to keep things competitive, we would like to limit the total ranking of each two person team to 7.25. For example, if you are 4.0 player your partner ranking can not exceed 3.25 or if you are a 3.75 player your partner ranking can not exceed 3.5. We will have registration slots for a maximum of 10 men's doubles teams and 10 women's doubles teams. No age separation. Teams will first be divided into pools for a short round robin, in order to establish seeding for a subsequent double elimination tournament.
